This Frequently Asked Questions page has been created to help you get answers to basic questions regarding the work and writing I do. If you have a question that’s not listed here, please contact me and I’ll be sure to answer it! —Best regards, Laura Lollar
Q: What do you do?
A: I provide communication and marketing support for people with an entrepreneurial spirit, solopreneurs and small business owners. I’m also a non-fiction author, speaker and creative entrepreneur. My website is LauraLollar.com
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: I left my last corporate job and launched my business over 25 years ago. In 2012 I registered the name “Communicate Colorado” with the Colorado Secretary of State and am listed as a business in good standing. I am also the owner of Pinehurst Press, a DBA under Communicate Colorado.
Q: Where is your business located?
A: My office is located 20 minutes north of Colorado Springs, which is not far from Pikes Peak in Southern Colorado. We’re about an hour south of Denver, Colorado.
Q: What kinds of clients have you worked with?
A: Oh gosh, here’s a partial client list to review. I’ve worked with small business owners, solopreneurs, creators, the U.S. Military, educational institutions, law enforcement, non-profits, financial institutions, trade associations, boards, healthcare, metropolitan districts, small business development centers and more…
Q: Where have you worked?
A: I’ve spoken, coached and consulted in four countries and throughout Colorado including the U.S., Germany, Canada, Wales and England.
Q: What do you charge?
A: Please contact me directly to discuss your needs or the scope of your project.
Q: How do your clients find you?
A: About 50% of my clients come through AI queries and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I learned the strategies years ago and it’s really paid off. The remainder of my clients find me through word-of-mouth referrals or through my articles and newsletter.
Q: Who created your website?
A: I did. I learned how to build it with WordPress decades ago. One of the best decisions I ever made (next to saying “yes” to my husband!)
Q: Are your books self-published or traditionally published?
A: Self-published, all the way! I learned how to use Vellum to format, read a lot about the process, attended some writer’s conferences, then took the plunge. I published a book with my mom a few years ago and am working on a number of other book projects right now.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll add more FAQ’s as I think of them. Feel free to send me your questions.
Best, Laura
