Friends nick-named Laura Lollar “Cabin Mama” after she realized a dream and bought a tiny, historic log cabin in Colorado. She treasured the quiet, woodsy surroundings which served as a gathering place for friends and family and was an inspiration for her humorous stories. Early settlers built Laura’s little log cabin in 1924. But in 2013, the serenity was tragically broken when the Black Forest Wildfire swept through this small community, burning 500 homes, including Laura’s cabin.
In Cabin Mama Stories, Laura writes fun, folksy stories about cabins, critters, growing up in a big family, becoming an engineer’s wife, raising rambunctious kids, camping exploits, and other adventures. These Cabin Mama stories are humorous, heart-warming and poignant. They’ll bring a chuckle to your day and perhaps a tear to your eye. It’s possible they’ll even trigger your own youthful memories of days gone by.
The Cabin Mama Stories print book and ebook will be available in June 2025.
