Program Description: How to Inspire Everyday Leaders
Each of us possesses the essence of leadership. We can change the world by seizing opportunities that abound in our communities, at church, in school and at work. Everyday leaders take the initiative to develop themselves and others and seize chances to serve.
By the end of this program, participants will have learned:
- leadership is a mindset
- it’s not presumptuous to think of yourself as a leader
- leadership does not require a corner office, a promotion or other trappings
- chances to lead come when we least expect them
- leadership shows up in how we speak, what we write, decisions we make and actions we take
- how to choose the qualities you wish to show the world, then pursue them
- why it’s wise to model the everyday leaders you admire
This lively program is designed to inspire those who want to lead a meaningful life and make a difference in the lives of others. Participants will learn simple strategies to cultivate leadership skills within themselves and those they wish to develop. They will leave the event feeling energized and ready to seek out leadership opportunities at work, at church, at school and in their communities.
“I wasn’t planning to lead. I was standing at the back of the room and then everyone turned around!” —Avery Hiebert
