Program Description: Teamwork – There IS an “I” in Team!
Too often, people say there is no “I” in team. Yet, as individuals we contribute personal strengths to the team that make it distinctly successful. We don’t always recognize the talents team members bring to the party, so to speak. Through the Team Roles Assessment, participants will learn the value they offer, insights into work habits and how to create better interaction among team members with differing strengths.
This lively, interactive program encourages group dialogue and a gap analysis process to identify new practices and perspectives. Participants will learn how to spot their preferred roles and put them to good use in any kind of group environment.
By the end of this program, participants will also have learned:
- Five unique roles people perform in any group environment
- Your preferred role, its strengths and challenges
- The CARLA Concept™ to create better solutions and improve problem solving
- How to support versus undermine other team members
- Areas of focus for each of the team roles
- The Start/Stop/Continue Method for gap analysis
- How to gain valuable insights into your work habits
- What key roles each person brings to the team
- Why balanced team member roles is not always the best goal
- How to leverage team role insights in your work habits

A lot of items were covered, but I think it would have been great to spend a few hours on communicating vision to broader organization —> brainstorm session. Knowledgeable, gracious and effective facilitator!” —Zaffer Syed, Director, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

“I thought it was great. The content was well developed and Laura did a wonderful job facilitating the meeting. Wish we’d had more time for learning to work more effectively with the varying types of personalities. Yes, I have benefitted personally and professionally through the Team Dimensions Evaluation – it enables me to work more effectively with others. I think the profile is very effective in learning where our team has strengths and weaknesses. I would recommend others use it to their advantage in identifying strong and weak links. Next time, I would like to try to engage our fellow team members as to the importance of our group summit prior to the meeting and give them clear expectations on when they may expect return emails, calls, etc.” —Kris Kelly, Director, Marketing
